Learn About the McKenzie Method to Improve Your Health

McKenzie Diagnosis and Treatment of Mechanical Pain (MDT) is a proven and reliable assessment process for all musculoskeletal pain or problems in the neck, back, and extremities such as shoulder, knee, ankle, etc.

The program was developed by the world-renowned physical therapist, Robin McKenzie, in the 1950s. He used an exercise-based approach to assess, diagnose, and treat clinical patients without the use of expensive diagnostic images (X-rays and MRIs).

The MDT foundation promotes the body’s ability to repair itself and without the use of medication, heat, cold, ultrasound, needles, or surgery.

Call the team at Core 307 Physical Therapy for McKenzie Diagnosis and Treatment of Mechanical Pain (MDT). We can help you with:
  • Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine pain
  • Joint pain

How Does the McKenzie Method Work?

Musculoskeletal pain is mostly mechanical in origin, and not from pathologies like cancer or infection.

Mechanical pain can be caused by abnormal or uncommon forces on a muscle or joint with a specific position, movement or activity. According to the MDT theories, if mechanical force can create pain, the mechanical force can be used to stop the pain.

For an effective solution for back pain, neck pain and extremity pain, refer to this video.
