The McKenzie Method

A SMARTER WAY TO HEAL

The McKenzie Method

The McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) is a reliable, evidence-based approach for addressing musculoskeletal pain, including issues in the neck, back, and joints such as the shoulder, knee, and ankle.

Created in the 1950s by internationally recognized physical therapist Robin McKenzie, MDT uses active, exercise-focused treatment plans to often reduce the need for costly imaging, medications, or invasive procedures.

What makes MDT different?  MDT doesn’t just cover up symptoms—it empowers your body to heal itself. Avoiding passive treatments like heat, ultrasound, injections, or surgery, it relies on specific movements and positions to correct the underlying mechanical causes of pain and dysfunction.
