Here Are Some Most Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does CORE 307 PT differ from other PT clinics in town?

Core 307 PT is not trying to reinvent the wheel. Gillette has many great providers and physical therapy clinics. We work hard to provide patient satisfaction and individualized care. You will be seen by a licensed physical therapist or physical therapy assistant at every appointment and every treatment. Your health and injury status can change just as quickly as life does. Just as you trust us for your physical therapy needs, we believe it is equally important to build trust with you. In order to do so, your PT will be present at each of your appointments.

  • How do I know if I should go to physical therapy for my injury/condition?

CORE 307 PT will always provide FREE consultations! We will find a time that is convenient for you to come by and we can discuss your condition and how or if you are appropriate for physical therapy intervention. We will take the steps to get a script(referral) for therapy from your provider from there. We can also verify your insurance benefits if needed.

  • Do I have to go see my physician/provider before I can come to physical therapy?

Yes and No. The State of Wyoming is a direct access state for physical therapy evaluation and treatment. For 30 calendar days, most insurances allow direct access (in which you can come to PT without seeing your doctor prior). However, some insurances require you to see your provider first such as Medicare, Medicaid, Veteran's Affairs, etc. Regardless of insurance coverage, it is also mandatory a patient under the age of 13 sees a medical provider prior to physical therapy treatment.

Let us know if you do not have a treating provider so we can work with some of the best providing Medical Doctors, Doctors of Osteopathy, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Chiropractors, and Dentists in the area!

  • How long will this take?

We understand if you have busy schedules, and respect if you are shift work employees. Treatment will not become an inconvenience in your day as our goal is to give you "the most bang for your buck."

    • Initial Evaluation typically last between 45-60 minutes
    1. In that time you will have completed paperwork (intake paperwork available at the bottom of this page), had a thorough evaluation by a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and your plan of care established with all your questions answered
    • Follow-up Appointment(s) typically last between 30-60 minutes
    1. Dependent on the plan of care established between you, your referring provider, and physical therapy treatment will vary in time and frequency

The course of physical therapy will last for a duration of 2-8 weeks in most cases. However, some post-operative protocols, injury types, and medical conditions may extend beyond the common time duration.

  • What will my insurance cover?

Insurance benefits vary like anything else. It can be very confusing trying to keep up as health insurance keeps changing. We encourage you to contact your insurance company prior to treatment, or you may contact our office and we would be happy to do so for you.

  • Does CORE 307 PT accept cash to pay for services?

Yes, we do. There is an ease in cash pay for physical therapy services. The appropriate paperwork you would need to submit for FSA (flex spending account), HSA (health savings account) and receipts you may apply toward your deductible/co-pay can be provided by us.

  • What if I love CORE 307 PT so much, I want to join their team?

We always welcome new staff. We could use a friendly face to greet and support patients in their treatment or a licensed PT/PTA.
