Can you see a physical therapist without a referral? It depends on your insurance and age.

In Wyoming, Direct Access allows most patients to visit a physical therapist without a doctor’s referral for up to 30 days. Many insurance plans follow this rule, letting you start care quickly.

Some insurance programs, however, do require a referral, including Medicare, Medicaid, VA benefits, and certain employer or workers’ compensation plans.

Note: Anyone under 13 years old must be evaluated by a healthcare provider before beginning physical therapy, no matter the insurance.

Your First Visit:

Duration: 45–60 minutes

We complete your intake paperwork, perform a thorough evaluation, and create a personalized treatment plan. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of your goals and next steps.

Follow-Up Appointments:

Duration: 30–60 minutes

Visits are tailored to your condition, progress, and personal goals, ensuring your rehab is efficient and effective.

How Long Will Physical Therapy Take?

Most patients finish treatment in 2–8 weeks, though recovery may take longer for post-surgical or complex conditions. We guide you throughout your journey, keeping you informed and confident every step of the way.

Yes! We accept cash payments for physical therapy.

Paying out-of-pocket can be a convenient option, especially if you’re using an FSA or HSA. We provide all the necessary receipts and documentation so you can easily submit claims or apply payments toward your deductible or co-pay.
